Errata

Well, try as we might, sometimes, errors slip through. Even though we have tried to ensure that the instructions that come with our kits are accurate, every so often we find an error. While we are able to correct the ones that we have on the shelf, we are not able to get word to those who have purchased our beaded ladies. In an effort to assist you in knitting and crocheting your projects, we will try to post the known glitches in our patterns here. So far we have identified the following errors:

Pursonalties - Small Wonders, Mary Poppins. You would think that as the pattern is correctly printed up on the web page at http://www.swallowhillcreations.com/coin_purse.htm that we would have printed it up correctly in the booklet. Sigh. The pattern should read Row 3 K1 *sl 1 b, K1* 8x, turn leaving last st unworked; Row 5 K1 *sl 1 b, K1* 7x, turn leaving last 2 sts unworked.... and so on.

Janessa - Round 2 should read : ...around to first lp. Ch2, slb,ch3, ss to 3rd ch of beg ch 3.
Round 12 should read: (slb,ch1) 6 times, sc in next sc below, *(slb, ch1) 6 times, sc in 3rd bch below* - around (note - the only change is the asterisk has been moved).

Sarah Bernhardt - if you are working the frame option for finishing the bag, the final segment of Rows 1-34 and 195-228 should read K3 instead of K2

Judy - if you are working the the second option for the drawstring top and decide to make the longer option, work rows 1-24 as indicated in the pattern, then repeat rows 1-20, working an increase in the middle of Row 20 this time, instead of row 21 (this leaves you with the required 24 sts). Then proceed with the sock body as printed. When you cast on for the second half, you should cast on 23 stitches.

Bitty - should be "Cast on 16 stitches" Some patterns call for 17 sts.

Sylvia - when we could no longer get the frame that we originally designed Sylvia to go with, we had to change the pattern to accommodate a different frame. Then the original frame came back into production, and we were so excited that we did not change the pattern back to go with the original. While the pattern will be fine with the "new-old" frame we suggest you do the following: the first and last 18 beaded rows should begin with S1, K2, *S1B K1* . The patterns that were adjusted for the replacement frame showed the beaded knitting to begin immediately following the S1 stitch.

Gypsy Rose Lee - Row 44 should read "Row 44 S1, S1B, K1, [S1B, K2Tog, (S1B, K1) 13x] 6x (86 sts)" which means that you are working the decrease stitch 6 times with 13 slipped beads and stitches in between.

While we regret any inconvenience that these errors have caused you, we are pleased to advise that the errors identified so far will not ruin your project. Bitty, if worked on 17 stitches, will be slightly larger, and you will think you are math challenged. Sylvia will still be lovely, and all that will happen is that you will have to work the beads on the edges of the bag into the spaces in the frame.

Bronwyn - Row l: (1sc ch 1 slb ch2 1 sc) in 10th ch from hook, *ch 5, skip 3 ch ....etc etc. In other words, the asterick in the pattern is in the wrong place in row one only. It was after the ch 5 and it should be before it.

Ophelia - Row 1: should read: 1 sc in 10th ch from hook, *ch 5, sk 3, 1 sc in next ch*, across to end. ch 5. Turn. In other words, delete the Ch1 that preceeds the 1 sc in some of the pattern copies.

Gigi - Row 3 and Row 5 - delete the S1 at the start of each of these two rows.
