Beaded Accessories

Free Patterns

Two of our signature pieces have become the knit tassel and the crochet button. We find that these little treats are great as embellishments on bags, or fastened securely to a cord and used as zipper pulls. Recently, we have started fastening the buttons to earring backs and using them to complete an outfit. We hope that you will have fun making these projects and finding new uses for them. Feel free to drop us a line and let us know how you are using them!

Crochet ButtonKnit Button

Knit and Crochet Balls

At Swallow Hill Creations, we understand that sometimes a ball is preferred to a tassel. This little ball may be used as a button or as an embellishment for the ends of a draw-string cord. Stuff the button with fibre fill or insert the knots on the ends of the cords into the top of the ball before making the running stitch around the circle. Draw up tight, and tie off ends. Of course, you can always fasten the ball to an earring back to make earrings to match your favourite bag or outfit. These patterns were recently featured in Bead Work Magazine. Bead Pack priced at $8.50 Canadian (plus GST, shipping and handling). Click here to go shopping.
